On the Quaternionic Curves in the Semi-Euclidean Space E_4_2

In this study, we investigate the semi-real quaternionic curves in the semi-Euclidean space E_4_2. Firstly, we introduce algebraic properties of semi-real quaternions. Then, we give some characterizations of semi-real quaternionic involute-evolute curves in the semi-Euclidean space E42 . Finally, we give an example illustrated with Mathematica Programme.

Characterizations of Slant Ruled Surfaces in the Euclidean 3-space

In this study, we give the relationships between the conical curvatures of ruled surfaces generated by the unit vectors of the ruling, central normal and central tangent of a ruled surface in the Euclidean 3-space E^3. We obtain differential equations characterizing slant ruled surfaces and if the reference ruled surface is a slant ruled surface, we give the conditions for the surfaces generate...

On the Isoptic Hypersurfaces in the n-Dimensional Euclidean Space

The theory of the isoptic curves is widely studied in the Euclidean plane E2 (see [1] and [13] and the references given there). The analogous question was investigated by the authors in the hyperbolic H2 and elliptic E2 planes (see [3], [4]), but in the higher dimensional spaces there is no result according to this topic. In this paper we give a natural extension of the notion of the isoptic cu...

Solving the Euclidean Steiner Tree Problem in n-space

We present a specialized branch-and-bound (b&b) algorithm for the Euclidean Steiner tree problem (ESTP) in R and apply it to a convex mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) formulation of the problem, presented by Fampa and Maculan. The algorithm contains procedures to avoid difficulties observed when applying a b&b algorithm for general MINLP problems to solve the ESTP. Our main emphasis ...

Projections in n-Dimensional Euclidean Space to Each Coordinates

For simplicity, we use the following convention: a, b, s, s1, r, r1, r2 denote real numbers, n, i denote natural numbers, X denotes a non empty topological space, p, p1, p2, q denote points of E n T, P denotes a subset of the carrier of E n T, and f denotes a map from E T into R . Let n, i be natural numbers and let p be an element of the carrier of E T. The functor Proj(p, i) yielding a real n...
